It’s no surprise that everyone loves the The Robertson family because of their genuinely real behavior and their Christian beliefs. You have to admit, they are definitely a refreshing change from the other reality television shows out there, but what if we told you that not everything you see on Duck Dynasty is real? Don’t fret, it’s not what you think, but Phil Robertson recently revealed some of the “fake” things you may see on the show!
Duck Dynasty is definitely one of the better reality shows out there, especially because of the Robertson’s beliefs and way of life. But as usual, not everything you see on television (even reality television) is actually real. What do we mean? Well, in a new interview, Phil Robertson discussed how the editors change certain parts of the show, and he does not necessarily agree with it.
In a new report from our friends at Radar Online, Phil Robertson wants the world to know that the profanity you’ve seen on the show, is not real, but instead the editors just made it seem like it was. “They inserted fake beeps like somebody had used profanity, but no one had used profanity,” Robertson explained, adding that viewers then: “Thought there was some profanity going on, but there was zero.”
And apparently, Robertson is not happy about it, and he has good reason. “If you want that, you can get all of that you want. Just turn the station. There’s plenty of that! And if we’re not using profanity, why make it look like we’re using profanity? What is the point? Why don’t you just run it and say what we say,” Phil Robertson complained.
Robertson said the producers eventually listened to him and stopped doing the profanity bleeps, but then it switched to editing Jesus out of the family’s prayers. After taking his complaints to A&E, Phil said: “I noticed now, every once in a while they’re leaving it in there.”
Hmm, maybe we should all petition A&E to stop editing the Robertson’s behavior!
What do you think about Phil Robertson’s comments? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear from you! Sound off in the comments section below!
