It was the rap feud that had folks buzzing for days, when Jimmy Kimmel did a spoof on his show about Kanye West, resulting in a Twitter bash fest between the pair, which left fans wondering if it was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Last night, Kanye West appeared on Kimmel’s show, where the two kissed and made up. Okay, so they didn’t exactly swap spit, but they did manage to get past their feud.
Many of us have been wondering if the feud between rapper Kanye West and comedian Jimmy Kimmel that resulted in numerous nasty Twitter exchanges between the pair, was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Well, when West appeared on Kimmel’s show last night, the pair insisted that it was not staged. Kimmel kicked off by mentioning early on that he knows West, and he has always found him to be friendly, adding that he thinks West is misunderstood.
Kimmel told West: “I don’t know if you know this, but a lot of people think you’re a jerk.” Kanye West said that he often takes his portrayal by the media to heart sometimes, and this time, since he knew Kimmel, he felt he could share his disappointment. “That elevates sometimes. Jimmy does his thing, I do my thing, and at some point egos can flare up, and we kind of took it back to high school,” West told viewers. Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel admitted: “I really felt bad about all this stuff, I did.”
But, perhaps, for West, it stems down to the lack of respect he gets. “The way the paparazzi talk to me and my family is disrespectful also, you know what I’m saying,” West continued. Kimmel and West then exchanged Thank you’s and that was the end of the feud.
