Looks like the battle is still raging between New Jersey governor Chris Christie and Jenny “JWoww” Farley of Jersey Shore fame. The two have notoriously battled in the past, and JWoww didn’t hold back about her feelings for the politician during a recent interview with Confidenti@l. “If you have a problem with two people being in love, and you’re against gay marriage, I have a problem with you,” the reality star told the newspaper. “What happens between two human beings has nothing to do with Chris Christie and does not affect Chris Christie. What does affect me is when my best friend can’t get married in New Jersey, and my best friend’s mother, who is a lesbian, can’t get married.” BOOM.
JWoww obviously has some very strong feelings on the controversial topic, and this isn’t the first time the 27-year old has taken Christie to task for his anti-gay marriage beliefs. Just last month, the reality princess called the governor “retarded” and “a disgrace to New Jersey” for his stance. She later apologized for her poor choice of words, but said her feelings about Christie himself remained unchanged.
The former Jersey Shore star and the rest of her castmates have also engaged in word wars with Governor Christie for topics completely unrelated to gay marriage. Things got tense back in 2008 when Christie slammed the reality show and its stars, saying their antics reflected poorly on the state of New Jersey. JWoww and company were outraged and, naturally, didn’t hold back in their own denouncement of the politician. Since then, the situation has remained tense between Christie and the Jersey Shore kids, with neither side willing to forgive and forget.
So what do you think about JWoww’s most recent comments about Chris Christie? Does the governor deserve such a harsh assessment, or is the reality star out of line? Tell us in the comments!
