When American Idol‘s season two winner Ruben Studdard signed on to the The Biggest Loser, fans were expecting to see huge losses out of the singer, since he is the biggest player on the ranch. However, Studdard has not had any impressive weigh in’s so far, and last night was his most disappointing yet!
In two weeks, we have watched Ruben Studdard lose a total of 31 pounds on The Biggest Loser, which for some folks may seem like a lot, but normally on the show, someone of his size (462 pounds was his starting weight) could easily have lost twice as much in that time frame. And just when we thought he couldn’t do any worse, he did. Last night at the weigh in, Studdard lost a pathetic 3 pounds, giving him a grand total of 34 pounds in three weeks. However, it definitely was not from lack of effort as we watched Studdard work hard, and also break down in tears when he had a phone call with his mother.
However, with his lack of big numbers on the scale, we can’t help but wonder if he could possibly make it to the finale? Unfortunately for Studdard, if he does happen to fall below the red line this season, he won’t have a chance to be saved. Dolvett Quince actually used his trainer save last night on Studdard’s teammate, Tanya Winfield, who lost nothing for the week despite her effort. With that said, Ruben really needs to step up his game! We know you can do it, Ruben – we’re all rooting for you!
What do you think of Ruben Studdard on The Biggest Loser? Do you think he will have a shot at winning? Are you disappointed with his lose so far? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it! Sound off in the comments section and let us know!
