Does anyone (besides a very unconvincing Ellen DeGeneres) actually think of Bethenny Frankel as particularly talented? Omarosa certainly doesn’t, as she made clear during a recent appearance on the Real Housewives of New York City alum’s talk show. Resuming their never-ending feud right where they left off, the two traded plenty of insults, the most accurate of which pointed to Bethenny’s status as a very mediocre entertainment figure.
With viewers rapidly losing interest in Bethenny Frankel’s talk show, it looks like the reality star will just about anything to improve those terrible ratings! That includes inviting (gasp) Omarosa on for a very public rehashing of the pair’s very public feud.
Unfortunately for Bethenny, we don’t anticipate this little burst of chaos having any long-term impact on her crumbling talk show. The interview, although contentious, felt kinda stale. The two brought up the same old arguments, reliving that fateful moment when Bethenny attacked Omarosa on The View. Omarosa conceded that, in the years since this infamous catfight, her Real Housewives adversary had seen a few small successes, including, of course, the unfortunate creation of Bethenny Frankel’s talk show. But Omarosa then amended that miraculous compliment with the following observation: “I am an African-American woman. You get to walk around and be mediocre and you still get rewarded with things. We have to be exceptional to get anything in this business.”
Bethenny returned with fighting words, accusing Omarosa of lacking a real brand and instead relying on her “infamous” reputation. And, like Omarosa, Bethenny just might have a point. But no matter how she feels about Omarosa’s career (or alleged lack thereof), Bethenny’s still grateful for her presence on the stagnating talk show. She later tweeted, “”I like talking to controversial people. I’m intrigued by human behavior. More interesting than ‘celeb gossip.’”
