Former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Camille Grammer’s Cancer Battle Is Not Over

November 01, 2013 04:00 PM by Suzy Kerr

After undergoing a radical hysterectomy to treat early stage cancer earlier this month, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer has just learned that her battle against endometrial cancer isn’t over yet. In spite of the surgery’s success at eliminating the cancerous cells, Camille’s doctors are ordering chemo and radiation therapy to ensure the disease doesn’t come back.

This is a harsh blow for the ex-reality star, who’s also currently dealing with a domestic abuse case that has shocked her fans. After the surgery took place in Houston on October 11, the southern California resident was recovering in a hotel room under the care of longtime boyfriend Dimitri Charalamboplousslloulabmous. Unfortunately, Dimitri’s idea of caregiving didn’t involve dispensing medication and offering foot rubs. According to a police report filed by Camille, Dimitri went the opposite route, and even went so far as to physically abuse her, slamming her head into the headboard and pulling out clumps of her hair just days after surgery. Since involving the police and court system, the former Housewife was awarded a temporary restraining order to keep Dimitri away from her and her two children with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer.

Oh, and speaking of Kelsey Grammer, there are also rumors circulating that the TV star hasn’t seen his kids in over six months, and didn’t even see them when their mom was in Texas for her hysterectomy. A source says that Kelsey talks to 12-year old Mason and 9-year old Jude on the phone, but he’s made no effort to schedule a visit. Even the recent abuse allegations haven’t prompted a visit, the source says. However, Kelsey’s reps are denying these claims and basically saying that the so-called source is full it.

As for the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s medical prognosis, doctors are very optimistic, noting Camille Grammer’s relative youth and good health. The cancer was also detected early, so there’s a very good chance that with the added chemo and radiation treatments, the blonde beauty will be back to normal soon.
