Melissa Rycroft announced last month that she was expecting baby number two, and now it’s time to find out what our favorite Bachelor alum is having! Could Rycroft be expecting another baby girl? Or perhaps the Dancing With The Stars alum is having a boy this time around? Find out inside!
Sugar and spice and everything nice? Nope, not this time around for Melissa Rycroft! Instead, Rycroft confirmed to US Weekly recently that she is having a baby boy this time! “When I found out I was having a boy, I just got really excited! And Tye, he’s such a guy’s guy, so personally I’m really happy he gets to do all his boy stuff,” Rycroft told the magazine.
When Melissa told her husband, Tye Strickland the news, he didn’t quite respond as one would have thought. While he was definitely thrilled, Rycroft went on to dish: “It’s so funny the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘I feel so much responsibility now!’ I was like, ‘Um, have you not felt it the past two and a half years?’ I guess there’s something to be said about the same sex parent taking the bulk of the responsibility.”
As for telling their parents, Melissa and Tye revealed the news in an adorable way – with cupcakes! The cupcakes were filled with blue, and their daughter Ava was the one to eat the first cupcake and reveal the news. Talk about super cute!
Congratulations to Melissa Rycroft and family on her blue baby news!
