CeeLo Green returned to court earlier today in hopes of bringing a resolution to charges surrounding his alleged spiking of a woman’s drink. But it looks like The Voice judge’s legal woes aren’t over quite yet — he’s set to return to court once again in January!
There’s been a bit of an elephant in the room during the last few live broadcasts of The Voice. Obviously, this isn’t the Real Housewives of New Jersey, so the judges and host Carson Daly aren’t likely to go on at length about CeeLo Green’s latest batch of legal issues. Still, it’s interesting to see CeeLo offering advice to contestants one day and in court for drug charges the next.
Unfortunately for all the CeeLo haters out there, not too much happened during the singer’s latest court visit. He was scheduled for yet another appearance in January…and that’s about it. According to prosecutors, this next court visit will be a far lengthier affair, lasting, in all probability, several hours. The implication here is that the prosecution will delve into the accompanying accusations of sexual assault, of which, as you may recall, CeeLo Green has already been cleared.
Despite facing very serious charges, CeeLo seemed surprisingly nonchalant as he left court earlier today. TMZ cameras caught up with him briefly, and, although he obviously wasn’t eager to get into the details of the case, the singer didn’t appear to be too troubled by the nasty allegations.
What do you think of CeeLo Green’s drug charges? Do you suspect, as rumors suggest, The Voice judge will opt for a plea deal? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below!
