Teresa Giudice Adds A Crisis Manager To Her Legal Team

November 21, 2013 09:00 AM by Suzy Kerr

As Teresa and Joe Giudice’s trial date gets closer, Teresa has decided it’s time to call for backup. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has hired a crisis manager to help prepare her for her Feb. court date – and here’s the best part – it’s the same person who advised Lindsay Lohan. After dealing with LiLo and all her baggage, I’m thinking this crisis manager is the right person for the job.

Wendy Feldman with Custodial Coaching is the woman Teresa chose to prep her for trial, and here’s what Feldman has to say about it: “I’m her legal coach and crisis manager. I have not been hired to prepare either Teresa or Joe Giudice for prison. In fact, most of my work is well-known as crisis management oriented. In addition, I am known as director of alternative sentencing at Cliffside Malibu where Ms. Lohan recently was. However, I am acting as the legal coach and crisis manager only for Teresa Giudice.”

Apparently, clarification about the whole prison preparation stuff was needed because that’s another of Ms. Feldman’s specialties. In fact, she isn’t exactly unfamiliar with the prison system herself, having spent some time in the pen for securities fraud. This gets better and better, doesn’t it? Seriously, it’s like Wendy and Teresa were destined to be besties or something – they have so much in common, after all.

No word on exactly what sort of coaching tips Wendy will be giving The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, but for Teresa’s sake, let’s hope they’re effective. Both Teresa and Joe are facing up to 50 years in prison, as a well as a $1 million dollar fine, for the 41 counts of fraud they’ve been charged with. Everything from wire fraud to bogus loan applications to tax evasion is included in the indictment, so the Giudice’s attorneys – and T’s crisis manager – will definitely have their work cut out for them when the trial begins on Feb. 24.

What do you think about Teresa Giudice’s latest legal move? Do you think it makes her look guilty, or was it a wise choice to hire a professional who can coach her through this? Tell us in the comments!
