Remember back when the only way to insult someone was either to their face or behind their back? Thanks to Twitter and other forms of social media, it’s now easier than ever to put someone on blast AND get a million other people involved in the fray, too. (Ah technology, how I love thee.) And this type of public bashing is exactly what’s going on right now in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills-land, and Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards are right in the thick of it.
Allow me to give a little backstory before we get down to the Twitter feud, because it’s all part of this classic tale of she-said, she-said. Okay, so remember when Lisa Vanderpump was on Dancing With the Stars and she fainted, and then later when Kim and Kyle Richards were watching it on TV, they declared themselves fake-faint experts and said Lisa’s collapse was staged? And then Brandi Glanville had to get in on it and started mocking Lisa with the Richards sisters, because, you know, she’s Brandi Glanville.
So now that this stuff is airing, fans of the show are spouting stuff off via Twitter, because – hello – that’s what fans do. Here’s the viewer tweet that started the whole thing: “Talking shit about @LisaVanderpump when she’s not there is really sucky @BrandiGlanville, especially to fat Kyle. #BadFriend #RHOBH” Lisa apparently couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a stab at her fellow Housewives, so she broke her own rule and retweeted the message.
And that’s when the shiz got real. Kyle understandably got her pantaloons in a wad and fired back, “Thanks 4 the RT calling me fat. #mean” And then Lisa threw back, “@KyleRichards 18 thanks for your piss taking..#evenworse”. While the ladies generally keep their fights off of public forums (Brandi Glanville and her potty mouth excluded), I can’t say I’m really surprised by any of this behavior. I mean, that’s what this show is all about, right? Drama, catfights, and more drama. It wouldn’t be The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if all the women were supporting, caring and considerate of one another’s feelings.
I, for one, am hoping this feud between Kyle and Lisa keeps going. Brandi getting in the middle of it with some ridiculous and most likely disgusting comment would just be the icing on the cake.
So who’s side are you on, Kyle’s or Lisa’s? How long will this feud last? Tell us in the comments!
