Brandi Glanville Is Still Not Over Losing Eddie Cibrian To LeAnn Rimes

November 23, 2013 08:29 AM by Suzy Kerr

It’s been more than four years since Brandi Glanville’s husband Eddie Cibrian cheated on her with country singer LeAnn Rimes, but Brandi still feels the pain. In a recent article for SoberBook.com, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admits that she’s still going through the healing process and there are still times of “darkness.”

Following the cheating scandal that dominated the headlines back in 2009, Brandi writes, “Four and a half years after my betrayal, I still battle with depression and trust issues. I survived my heartbreak, but I will be dealing with the damage it caused for the rest of my life.” She also adds that her 10- and 6-year old sons with Eddie are the only thing that keep her grounded (whether or not she’s truly grounded is surly debatable by some). “I have my good months and bad months,” she says in the column. “If I didn’t have my children, I might be one of the many who never came out of the darkness. These two little men, keep me grounded and in check.”

It’s a serious turn for the reality star, whose partying and antics on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are what she’s better known for. She does acknowledge that side of her personality, though, saying that the party-girl side of her only comes out when the boys are with Eddie and LeAnn, who share custody. Brandi writes that when the boys are with her, things are great. “When I have them and there is total chaos in my house, I am complete. My soul is happy.”

Brandi can’t say the same for when her sons head to their father’s, however, and she confesses that these are the times where she is most vulnerable. “My big, chaotic house is silent. I hear crickets chirping and that feeling of falling back into the darkness it took me so long to come out of hits me.” And that’s when the party-girl emerges, which Brandi herself admits is not always the best role model. “I don’t always love her. Sometimes I barely even like her. She makes a ton of mistakes (just check the internet),” she writes. “But, I have never claimed to be perfect and it’s my way of not sitting at home, alone, falling back into my dark place.”

Brandi Glanville, I’m impressed. It’s a nice change of pace to hear you being honest with yourself, and just being REAL for once. Now please just stick with this instead of trash-talking the other Housewives’ vaginas. K thanks.
