This certainly seems to be turning into the season of surprises on The Biggest Loser, as we’ve watched a recent controversy with Jillian Michaels, a second chance for Idol champ Ruben Studdard, and now, Bob Harper has decided to shock us all. That’s right, last night on the show, the hot trainer finally opened up his own sexuality!
The past few weeks on The Biggest Loser, it seemed that most of the focus has been on Ruben Studdard and the drama with Jillian Michaels breaking the show’s rules. But this week, it was all about our favorite trainer, Bob Harper. In fact, last night on the show, Harper even shocked everyone and admitted on the show that he is gay. While we may have already known this, Bob has never, ever, opened up about his sexuality on the show, so this was a huge deal for him – and just makes us love him even more!
It was actually one of Harper’s contestants, Bobby, who caused Harper to come out of the closet for the first time on the show. Bobby had an emotional heart to heart with Bob about his own sexuality, and admitted he was feeling as though his father would not support him. Harper thought this would be the perfect time to open up about himself, hoping to support Bobby, and encouraging Bobby to talk honestly with his family about it.
And the emotions did not stop there for Bob Harper. Unfortunately, it was his blue team who, once again, lost the weigh-in, and after last week’s trainer save, he couldn’t do anything to help his team. Even more unfortunate for Harper was that Holley was the team member who fell below the red line. Holley has struck up quite the friendship with Harper this season, and Bob was nothing but tears during the elimination.
All in all, it was a refreshing change this week on The Biggest Loser, and we’re thrilled that Bob Harper is comfortable enough to talk about his own sexuality now.
