Thanks to Caroline Pennell’s recent elimination, CeeLo Green is officially out of the running on The Voice. But the singer and mentor remains invested in the show, as his early favorite Cole Vosbury remains in the competition as part of Team Blake. CeeLo says he intends to help Cole win the competition, even if that means yet another Blake Shelton victory.
CeeLo Green will have to wait at least another several months before capturing his first big win on The Voice, as his final contestant found herself mercilessly eliminated last week. At this point, the judge could easily sit back in his cushy judging chair and wile away his time puffing smoke rings (oh wait, he’s already done that…), but instead, he’s going to focus all his efforts on helping Cole Vosbury beat out the remaining competition.
As you may recall, Cole Vosbury began the season as CeeLo’s favorite. In fact, as the mentor tells Zap2It, none of the other judges bothered to lend Cole their support until later on in the competition. “No one turned around for Cole but me. I’m so pleasantly surprised that he’s still in the race.”
Now invested in keeping Cole in the running, CeeLo says he’s going to mentor the singer once again, although this time, on an unofficial basis. “I support [Cole] and so, I’m going to go over tomorrow and visit with him and see what’s going on, see if I can put my two cents in.”
