And then there were three. It’s down to the wire now on The Voice, and the finalists for next week’s showdown finale have been chosen. As season five winds down, there have been some tough choices and some sad farewells, but the three remaining contenders have proven time and again that they have what it takes to succeed in the music industry. And the finalists are….
Jacquie Lee, Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin! The three remaining vocalists were saved from elimination on Tuesday night, after stellar performances that sealed their fates in Voice history. Jacquie delivered a haunting rendition of Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel” that Christina Aguilera called “the most perfect” performance, while Tessanne belted out a soulful version of “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” prompting Adam Levine to declare it the “most flawless and graceful performance [he’d] ever heard on this show.” As the lone male finalist, Will moved the crowd with Fun’s “Carry On,” connecting with the audience even more by showing his soft side during the performance.
Another interesting tidbit that has to be pointed out is that none of the finalists are on Team Blake. All his showing off of his trophies at the beginning of the season was for naught, as only Adam and Christina have contenders left in the game. Sorry, Blake! If it makes you feel any better, you can go home and gaze at all your other trophies and awards. No one can take those previous wins away from you, a fact I’m sure you won’t let us forget next season.
So there you have it. We have our season five finalists on The Voice, and Jacquie, Will and Tessanne will be duking it out next week to see who takes home the top prize and is – hopefully – propelled into musical superstardom!
So what do you think about the finalists? Is there some you think was unfairly eliminated? Tell us in the comments!
