Would you believe it if I told you there was another cross-franchise feud brewing between a couple of Housewives? (Absolutely, you would.) This time the ladies involved are Brandi Glanville of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Kenya Moore of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and the fight is stemming from the racist remarks Brandi made on the last episode of RHOBH. Naturally, a firestorm was unleashed on social media, and Kenya couldn’t help but weigh in, which prompted another retort from Brandi. And thus began a new cycle of idiocy…or entertainment, depending on how you look at it.
Here’s a quick refresher in case you forgot: On Monday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi and company were lounging poolside, when co-star Joyce Gebbia mentioned that she doesn’t swim. Without missing a beat, Brandi replied, “You’re black,” as if that explained it all. Joyce was understandably offended, and those two words, so carelessly spoken, launched an outcry on Twitter from pissed off fans.
Kenya Moore, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, also took to social media to call Brandi out on her poor choice of words. After saying that Brandi was “ignorant,” B fired back, and a fan then tweeted at Kenya “Brandi says she doesn’t respect your opinion because you flirted with a married man… time to put her in check! LOL.”
LOL, indeed. Except neither Brandi nor Kenya are laughing, and that little comment just made Kenya even madder. “I can’t help her, sweetie – only rehab and penicillin,” she tweeted back at the fan. Ooh, BURN. (Pun intended.)
After the tweeting war died down, Brandi took to her Bravo blog to apologize for her racist comment (sort of), and she also addressed her issue with Kenya. “As far as Kenya Moore calling me ignorant,” Brandi wrote,“while I do find her entertaining on RHOA, I am sorry but I just don’t care nor do I respect the opinion of a grown ass woman who flirts, texts, and tries to sleep with another woman’s husband.” The incident in question is, of course, the text messages that Kenya sent to her co-star Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo. Brandi continued, “Once she finds some self respect, maybe I will learn to care about what she thinks.”
Kenya? We’re still waiting for your rebuttal.
But now we know what both Brandi Glanville and Kenya Moore think, but what do YOU think? Let us hear it in the comments!
