Jenny McCarthy joined The View a few months ago, to fill the vacant seat left by Elisabeth Hasselbeck, but was it a big mistake? According to Julie Chen, hiring the Love In The Wild host was not the best idea for the show!
We’ve already listened to Sharon Osbourne bash the hosts of The View, and recently, Osbourne and her co-host of The Talk, Julie Chen, sat down to chat with Howard Stern about their rival show. This time though, they didn’t bash the hosts. In typical Stern fashion, he asked the ladies flat out what they thought about the show’s decision to hire Jenny McCarthy, and Chen admitted that it was not a good decision.
“I think they were trying to lighten the mood at the table. In my opinion, ‘The View’ doesn’t know what it is now. What put them on the map and made them good and famous, they don’t do that anymore. No one wants to listen to Jenny McCarthy talk about the New York mayoral race or politics,” Julie Chen explained to Stern of the decision to bring on Jenny McCarthy. But Chen was not trying to slam McCarthy, as she also went on to dish about how beautiful, smart and funny McCarthy is as well, despite that she does not feel McCarthy is the best fit for The View.
And Chen’s co-host, Sharon Osbourne completely agrees, adding that The View is “all over the place” since bringing McCarthy to the panel. However, both ladies seem to think that McCarthy would be a better fit on The Talk with them. Hmm, perhaps Jenny McCarthy should jump ship?
