He’s one of the original 16 castaways who first set the reality TV world ablaze when Survivor initially debuted in May 2000. 13 years later, Gervase Peterson returned to the game for his chance to outwit, outplay and outlast once again on the show’s 27th season — Survivor: Blood Vs. Water. No, he didn’t win the $1 million, but Gervase did make it all the way to the final Tribal Council where he landed in third place. Shortly after Tyson Apostol was crowned the winner, our own Ryan Haidet talked with Gervase on the Survivor: Blood Vs. Water finale red carpet. You can watch the full interview inside this article in which Gervase explains why he was drawn to align with Tyson after originally thinking he was “an ass” and reveals why Richard Hatch still wouldn’t receive his vote to win the first season if he could rewind back to that moment.
