Phil Robertson Controversy: Petition Started To Reinstate Duck Dynasty Star

December 19, 2013 11:38 AM by Lisa Princ

Duck Dynasty fans are far from happy, happy, happy after learning that our favorite bearded patriarch, Phil Robertson was suspended from any further taping of the show after he shared his opinion of homosexuals. If you’re one of the millions of viewers that tunes in week after week to watch the Robertsons, and you are angry about the suspension, here is your chance to sign a new petition, demanding that A&E reinstate the reality star.

A&E was quick to suspend Phil Robertson from any further taping of Duck Dynasty recently, after an interview was published, in which Phil basically quoted the bible when asked about homosexuals. Given that it was Phil’s opinion, and he did not really bash anyone, perhaps A&E should have thought it through a little more? While the network was quick to please GLAAD, perhaps they forgot about the millions of viewers who tune in to see Phil and his family week after week? Let’s face it, Duck Dynasty would be nothing without patriarch Phil Robertson.

Since his suspension news broke, a religious group called Faith Driven Consumer has started a petition demanding that A&E reinstate the Duck Dynasty star. The petition states: “Mr. Robertson’s comments in GQ Magazine are simply reflective of a Biblical view of sexuality, marriage, and family – a view that has stood the test of time for thousands of years and continues to be held by the majority of Americans and today’s world as a whole.” The petition also includes a demand that the network reinstate Phil, or the network will be faced with their own backlash when millions of people stop tuning in to their #1 show.

Click here to sign the petition to reinstate Phil Robertson. Right now, there are close to 17,000 signatures and growing by the second. I signed the petition, have you?

What do you think of Phil Robertson’s comments? Was A&E correct to suspend him? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear from you! Sound off in the comments section below!

I do not understand what part of Christian beliefs and principles this network did not understand when they rolled out this show. Did they feel the Robertsons’ faith was phoney or did they think the all mighty dollar would change their principles. Get real folks. Man up!!! You got what you paid for.

I stand with Phil. Freedom of religion and freedom of speech. Even if everyone doesn’t agree with what he said, which I do, those are his constitutional rights. If it were a different opinion, perhaps one promoting homosexuality, that would’ve been completely fine. And that would’ve offended me and my family. We should all stand behind him and boycott A&E if they do not reinstate Phil. My family surely will.

This man is a racist animal who misuses his bible to justify hate. He should be panned by his fellow Christians for putting them in such a bad light,
I am sure the 911 gay hero I know will be going to a much better place then that ignorant moron ever will.
Plus, I will be telling any non white grocer I know about Cracker Barrel’s support of his racist remarks. Maybe if they stop losing vendors they’ll tell Phil to throw away the hate manual (he used Cor. to justify his hate) and get an education and withdraw their support.

    to Angel:
Que Dios se apiade de su alma por su apoyo a un cerdo que piensa que no debería tener derechos, porque usted no es basura blanca.
