Meet The Newest Members Of The Real Housewives Of Orange County

December 22, 2013 02:00 PM by Suzy Kerr

The Real Housewives of Orange County is officially adding a couple of names to its roster! Us Weekly is confirming that two new ladies will be joining the cast of the hit reality series, and some initial digging about their backgrounds reveals that the newbies will fit in nicely on RHOC – or maybe not, considering it’s the Real Housewives, which is synonymous with drama.

While Bravo hasn’t released any statements about the casting news, Us is confirming that the new Housewives in the OC are Shannon Beador and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Rovsek. The ladies will join returning castmembers Tamra Barney, Heather Durbrow and Vicki Gunvalson, who is the only original Housewife left in the series.

After last season’s huge cast shakeup, where Alexis Bellino, Gretchen Rossi and Lydia McLaughlin left the show, the confirmation of two new Housewives is a relief for fans. And it does appear that Lizzie and Shannon will fit in on RHOC, considering that their backgrounds include some very Housewife-esque traits (i.e., participating in beauty pageants, wearing designer swimsuits, and marrying moguls).

Lizzie, who’s in her early 30s, is an ex model and former Miss Kentucky who earned a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. With credentials like that, it’s not surprising to learn that she started her own high-end swimwear company, Sun Kitten Swimwear, which specializes in “special occasion designer swimsuits.”She’s also married to an Orange County real estate executive, and has two sons with names that scream “I’m rich!” – Preston and Kingston. See? Told you.

Shannon, who had been rumored for a while now to be part of The Real Housewives of Orange County cast, is also married with children and living the high life. The 49-year old is wed to David Beador, a construction mogul, and they have three kids. The family of five live in a house that is 30 times bigger than what they really need (I’m guessing here), in Newport Beach’s exclusive Bonita Canyon ‘hood.

Indeed, it does seem like Lizzie and Shannon are going to fit in just fine in the Housewife world, but will they fit in with the other women? Guess we’ll just have to watch and find out when the show returns next year!

So what do you think about the new RHOC additions? Will you be tuning in to watch how it all plays out? Let us know in the comments!
