Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta witnessed plenty of mama drama the other day, when Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes found themselves in a heated argument about teenage dating. Kandi Burruss, the surprising voice of reason, ended up telling NeNe what everyone else was thinking: her feedback on Cynthia’s daughter felt like an attack.
Based on the huge argument on last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey hold vastly different opinions on issues related to parenting. And although they’re usually able to get past minor disagreements with no trouble, this source of tension could potentially destroy their relationship. Intent on keeping the peace, Kandi suggested that the friends avoid discussions about their parenting approaches, as the issue is obviously capable of causing hardcore drama.
Cynthia Bailey ultimately found herself agreeing with Kandi. After a truce of sorts had been called, she admitted, “I have a very strong position when it comes to parenting. If [NeNe and I] don’t see eye to eye, we might not want to go there.” NeNe also appears to hold a similar opinion, although, when she discussed the situation on her Bravo blog, she included a fair amount of snark. She advised Cynthia, “If you don’t want to hear others’ opinions, don’t bring up the topic that you find to be sooo touchy!”
What do you think of Kandi Burruss’ proposal? Is it better for the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members to keep their kids out of the equation? Or did you enjoy seeing the reality stars discuss a topic with which audience members can actually related? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below!
