Despite the low ratings and continued criticism from dissatisfied audience members, it looks like Bethenny Frankel’s talk show will return for a second season. The Real Housewives of New York City alum’s show will likely see several significant changes — but we’re sure she’s relieved to be back for more daytime drama!
Since her departure from The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel’s worked hard to make something of herself, releasing the hit line of Skinnygirl products, not to mention a book about getting (and staying) thin the natural way.
The reality star’s latest venture has involved a talk show of her own, which, unlike those delicious Skinnygirl margaritas, hasn’t proven all that popular. But although her ratings have been lower than expected, it looks like Bethenny Frankel’s talk show is set to return for season two.
According to an insider for the New York Daily News, the daytime show may experience a few significant formatting alterations. Expect a barrage of controversial figures, perhaps in the vein of Maury or Jerry Springer. The source explains that this drama-heavy approach “makes it easier to book guests — they can be nobodies and frankly Bethenny is pretty good at handling those kind of situations.”
Reps for Bethenny’s show have yet to comment on this reported switch-up, but they do maintain that producers are happy with the current format. Either way, all signs point to another season of Bethenny Frankel on daytime television!
