Tamar Braxton Dishes On Relationship With Vincent Herbert

January 02, 2014 06:00 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

Tamar Braxton has come a long way these past few years, transitioning from Toni’s shadow to a star in her own right. But the Braxton Family Values singer maintains that none of this would have been possible without the constant support of her husband, Vincent Herbert.

When you’re in showbiz, life’s a lot easier if your partner has your back. Fortunately, Tamar Braxton’s able to boast a very supportive hubby. In a recent interview with The Boom Box, she admitted that, prior to her relationship with Vincent Herbert, she suffered from an extreme lack of confidence. “I didn’t feel like I was beautiful…I didn’t feel like people wanted to listen to me sing. I had low self-esteem.”

How things have changed! Now, Tamar Braxton knows she’s beautiful — and she’s very, very confident in her ability to attract a vast audience. It’s been a long journey, but Tamar says that Vincent’s been there every step of the way. This support proved particularly valuable in light of Tamar’s history with relationship abuse. Although that painful past initially left the singer feeling shy and insecure, she managed to get past the pain with Vincent at her side. “He’s helped me with accepting what happened to me and to move onto to a happier place, where I am with him. I really appreciate him more and more every day.”

We’re happy to see Tamar Braxton succeeding with both her career and her personal life! Do you find her journey to stardom inspiring? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
