Every season, one special guy faces the prospect of choosing between 25
insane attractive women on The Bachelor. Luckily (or unluckily) for Juan Pablo Galavis, that number recently jumped to 27. Somehow, he managed to whittle the crowd down for his very first rose ceremony.
The month of Juanuary if officially underway! Thus far, it’s pretty obvious that the Bachelor’s new star is going to be quite memorable. The single dad says he’s on the hunt for a good step-mother — ideally one with blonde hair and big boobs. He met plenty of women who seemed to meet all three requirements on last night’s season premiere, so of course, he faced quite a bit of difficulty going into the first rose ceremony of the season.
We sure hope Juan Pablo’s instincts prove better during the rest of the season than they did last night, as the Bachelor found himself wasting the first impression rose on a lady who just wasn’t interested. The lucky recipient, Sharleen, ultimately admitted she didn’t feel the spark. “I guess I thought that I would feel more of this, like, insta-chemistry than I did.”
Fortunately for Juan Pablo Galavis, there were plenty of other women who were plenty enthusiastic about receiving their requisite roses. At his debut rose ceremony, Juan Pablo called up Clare first, following with a long list of relieved contestants. As with the rest of the episode, there was plenty of awkwardness during the ceremony, particularly when Kylie somehow mistook ‘Kat’ for her name. Oops.
