Last year, Farrah Abraham attempted to make a quick dollar by releasing the controversial Backdoor Teen Mom. At the time, the Teen Mom star seemed proud of her new profession; now, she wonders why she ever decided to ditch reality television.
As of last summer, Farrah Abraham was still super proud of her sex tape, boasting that her then budding career in adult entertainment made her feel attractive and powerful. Turns out, life after Backdoor Teen Mom isn’t all sunshine and lollipops, as Farrah made clear in a recent interview with In Touch.
The biggest problem related to Farrah’s sex tape is not one of cash (although she certainly didn’t receive as hefty a payment as she’d hoped) but of fragmented relationships. Farrah admitted to In Touch that the sex tape “made it hard to have friends and a private life and to trust family, who I feel use me for money.”
In fact, the issues with friends, family members and allegedly fake boyfriends have compounded to the point that Farrah wishes she’d never filmed Backdoor Teen Mom. “If I went back in time, I would not have done it. The sex tape ruined my life.” Chalk it up to a case of hindsight being 20/20.
Although she initially put on a confident face and told the world how proud she was of her sex tape, Farrah actually was terrified by the implications the moment her name made headlines. “I wanted to hide my face and not go out or pick up my phone.” And at times, the reality star still feels mortified, although she’s working hard to get past this tough patch.
