On this week’s episode of The Bachelor, ladies man Juan Pablo Galavis decided to put a temporary moratorium on kissing…that is, until Clare’s confession about eating octopus somehow elicited a smooch. Reflecting on the kissing ban, host Chris Harrison admitted that, in his opinion, Juan Pablo was guilty of sending mixed messages.
Juan Pablo Galavis says he knows what he wants in a woman (namely, big boobs, blonde hair and a willingness to play mommy for Camilla), but he has a funny way of showing it. After going all out on the kissing in several episodes of The Bachelor, the reality star chose to back off — a resolution he was less than successful in maintaining.
According to Chris Harrison, Juan Pablo’s tendency to switch up his dating style has proved quite problematic at times. In an interview with TV Guide, the Bachelor host admitted, “Honestly, [Juan Pablo] sends mixed messages to the girls and they find it very confusing…Why now, after making out with the others, do you decide it’s enough? So he’s changing the rules in the middle of the game.”
Chris adds that viewers can expect Juan’s odd approach to continue in future episodes. In fact, if anything, it’ll get even worse. And since these massive changes in behavior only lend themselves to greater a greater degree of drama among the ladies, viewers should also expect to see plenty of arguments and cat fights as the series continues.
