Hindsight is 20/20…a cliche that obviously proves true when you apply it to The Bachelor. In a recent blog post, Juan Pablo mentioned his hot, hot night on the beach with Clare and how, in retrospect, he wished he would have ignored his sex drive and kept his hands to himself.
Based on Clare’s description of a “night of pure bliss,” fans of The Bachelor are assuming that she and Juan Pablo went all the way after their beachy escapades. It’s hard to know for sure, but the duo’s late night interactions were clearly steamy enough to make viewers suspicious.
In his latest Bachelor blog, Juan Pablo avoided going into too much detail, simply explaining, “[Clare] wanted to jump in the ocean for the first time with me. She was so happy that I didn’t want to reject her, but I definitely made a mistake.”
The reasoning expressed in Juan Pablo’s blog sounds nearly identical to what was offered up during his awkward post-beach conversation with Clare. He didn’t like the idea of his daughter seeing “daddy going into the ocean with a girl at night.” Plus, by spending so much time with Clare, the reality star wasn’t being fair to the other women.
Although that conversation with Clare was rather tense, Juan Pablo figured he was doing her a favor by being straightforward. He decided that he would help to ease any sense of letdown by ensuring that Clare came away with a rose.
