The details surrounding Phaedra Parks’ possible involvement in her husband’s alleged criminal activity are already murky enough, and it looks like it’s only going to get worse. An old acquaintance of the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is speaking out, and her explosive allegations about Parks could spell disaster for the reality star.
RadarOnline recently obtained court documents that delve further into Apollo Nida’s fraud case and Phaedra Parks’ possible involvement, and the details inside could be damning to Phaedra if they’re proven true. According to the paperwork, a former associate of Phaedra’s, Angela Stanton, claims to have once been involved in criminal misdoings with the reality star, and Phaedra’s been trying to keep Stanton quiet for years.
In fact, Phaedra even sued Vibe magazine back in 2012 after they published some of Stanton’s claims – which were originally published in a book – but the case was ultimately dismissed. Then in September 2012, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star sued Stanton herself for making false and defamatory claims, asking for millions of dollars in restitution. That case has yet to be settled.
Stanton’s book, Lies of a Real Housewife, was filled with shocking allegation against Phaedra, who Stanton said she met back in 2001. According to the book, the two formed a business alliance founded on shady car deals. “We would basically go to the car lot and write down the VIN numbers of the vehicle that we felt as if we wanted to keep or would make a good sale,” Stanton wrote. “Once we recorded the numbers down off of the VIN, we would take them back to Phaedra and [another associate], and once they had it they would make a false identification card and a registration card to match the vehicle.”
But that’s not all. “With the state issued ID, and proof of ownership, I would be able to visit any luxury car dealership, provide them with the necessary documents, as well as a fee … then just like that they would cut a computerized key to the vehicle,” she continues in the book. “…The Cars were then sent to a chop shop. The VIN numbers were filed down and replaced with new ones. Once replaced, I was provided with fraudulent certificates of vehicle titles …”
Ultimately, the authorities caught up Stanton, who later served time, along with Apollo, for the elaborate crimes. Phaedra, however, was able to avoid suspicion and was never charged with any crime.
Stanton, who’s since been released from prison, says that now her focus is on telling the world about the “real” Phaedra Parks. She says, “Phaedra Parks was a snake I allowed to slither into my life. Once she got close enough to bite me, she did! As she slithered away, she left me to die a slow, and sure death. The heifer never even looked back. She walked away from our treasured turned corrupt friendship with not as much as a blemish to her name.”
So what do you think about these explosive claims about Phaedra’s possible criminal past? Do you believe them, or is Angela Stanton just trying to get attention? Sound off in the comments!
