Brandi Glanville Says It ‘Takes A Strong Man’ To Date Her

February 09, 2014 09:47 AM by Suzy Kerr

While some people may describe Brandi Glanville as crude or obnoxious, there’s another word that can definitely be added to the list: honest. Say what you will about the outspoken Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, but you can’t call her a liar. Girlfriend is honest about what’s on her mind and what she wants in life, and she knows that when it comes to dating, it’ll take one helluva man to deal with her baggage.

In a recent interview to promote her soon-to-be-released second book, Drinking and Dating, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star opened up about her love life since her split from ex Eddie Cibrian. “I’ve met some great men, I’ve met a lot of not-so-great ones,” she reveals. “I’m learning as I go.”

Part of that learning process also included a few self-imposed restrictions, but Brandi apparently had a tough time following her own guidelines when it came to men. “I made rules for myself that I’ve broken,” she says. “[After my divorce], I said, ‘No actors and no professional athletes,’ and of course I went right back to it. I’m always attracted to the hottest boy in the room and that never works out.”

Brandi also recognizes her situation for exactly what it is. “In this town, being over 40 with two kids, that’s a scary thing to say. It takes a really strong man to put up with me, my baggage and the show.” That doesn’t mean that the reality star is swearing off men for good, however. She does hope to one day met that special guy to “complete [her] little family,” but she’s also okay with it if it doesn’t happen. “I’m happy. I’d rather grow alone with my girlfriends than with someone I’m not in love with.”

But the mom of two had just one more thing to add – and in typical Brandi fashion – before concluding the interview. “I know exactly what I want now. That’s the wisdom that comes from getting older and dating douche bags!” she laughed.

So what do you think about Brandi Glanville’s revealing interview? Will you be buying her new book when it comes out on Feb. 11? Tell us in the comments!

I agree that she would probably be a handful to date but (as a straight woman), I’d love to be her friend! She’d be a ton of fun!
