Bethenny Frankel Celebrates 100th Talk Show Episode

February 12, 2014 06:26 AM by Stephanie Gustafson

Despite consistently unimpressive ratings, Bethenny Frankel’s talk show has managed to avoid cancellation for an impressive 100 episodes. The Real Housewives of New York City star celebrated the achievement the other day, surrounded by pals Hoda Kotb, Tamar Braxton and Loni Love.

Bethenny Frankel has had quite the interesting run during her short time on the talk show circuit. Despite efforts to score big names for exclusive interviews, the daytime show has largely become a parade of Real Housewives and other associated reality stars. Still, making it to 100 episodes is certainly an accomplishment, particularly for a program that, according to critics, should already have been slashed.

The other day, Bethenny invited a few of her best buds to her talk show in hopes of celebrating its 100th episode. The cheery festivities included a massive cake rolled out by Hoda Kotb, which Bethenny’s guests proceeded to eat with their hands. Later commenting on the special moment, the reality star exclaimed, “Love that my girls aren’t afraid to dig in!”

After the big party ended, Bethenny took to social media to thank her friends and well wishers, tweeting, “I LOVE my friends. Thank you so much for celebrating my 100th show with me!”

Are you surprised to learn that Bethenny Frankel’s supposedly ill-fated talk show made it to 100 episodes? Do you think she’ll be able to stick it out until it’s time for a 200th show party? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!

I love Bethenny. There are so many haters because she is so intelligent and gorgeous. It is sad what has transpire between her and her husband but we all make mistakes.

I will hope that if they cancel her show, she does her own reality show. SHE’S AWESOME!

I think it should have already been cancelled. I love it when she talks about stuff other than relationship stuff. I get tired of watching people talk about sex, men, and relationships. I stopped watching a long time ago and only tune in when someone I like is a guess and usually don’t even watch the whole show. I do LOVE Bethenny but I think she does a whole lot better on reality tv. She should have her own reality show. I believe those rating were better. Thanks.

I do NOT like or regularly watch Bethenny’s show, but her key to success is, she spends MOST of her shows in the audience with a microphone, while the most popular and drama-filled reality TV stars are sitting on the stage, doing the talking. She picks the most controversial reality TV stars to keep making appearances (over and over) on the show, which is why so many tune in, because those reality TV stars are tweeting their followers to watch. That is Bethenny’s formula for success. That and ALWAYS talking about a subject that will NEVER get old= RELATIONSHIP DRAMA. And just like reality tv, many people can’t turn away, because they want to see the train crash! #NoThanksBethenny

PLUS- in my region, she comes on immediately following another tabloid tv show- Wendy Williams. This means, the same type of person who watches Wendy will probably watch Bethenny. She’s definitely riding the coat-tail. How do I know so much, if I don’t watch it? TV Research Project. Have a good day, everyone! Remember to volunteer with a less fortunate nonprofit. It feels good and it’s better than sitting in front of the tv.

Bethenny is the best talk show host – hands down. What she didn’t get was the support she needed from Ellen in the form of amazing guests to launch the show. Her marriage issues haven’t helped her image either, but, her show is the most informative, innovative and fun. All she needs are better guests and she’ll nail the ratings. Queen Latifah is good, but not better. She DOES have better guests.

I like the Bethenny talk show, it’s trendy and fun. I think she should have left the Paula Deene issue alone, though. Devaluing others in any form is something we all have to learn to stay away from-regardless of one’s generation and upbringing. To whom much is given, much is required. Bethenny is a gracious host, likes to get to the point, has an awesome outlook and wardrobe; sometimes, I wonder how she would do in other more serious aspects of journalism/commentating.
