Ramona Singer’s Daughter Is Taking Sides In Her Parent’s Split

February 12, 2014 05:00 PM by Suzy Kerr

Ramona Singer just filed for divorce from her husband Mario Singer last week, but the Real Housewives of New York City star’s daughter Avery hasn’t wasted any time in taking sides. The college student headed up to NYC last weekend for some mother-daughter bonding time, and guess who wasn’t on her list of people to visit – her cheating (allegedly) dad Mario.

Avery Singer, the 19-year old daughter of Mario and Ramona Singer, left her Georgia college last weekend to spend some quality time with her mom in New York City after the reality star (finally) pulled the plug on her 27-year marriage. The mother-daughter duo hit the town for a fancy dinner at Tao, then indulged in some frozen yogurt at Pinkberry. Just before, Ramona tweeted a picture of herself and Avery all dressed up for their night out, captioning the pic, “with my fav girl.”

Even before heading up to NYC, however, Avery made it clear where her loyalties lie with her parents. “Can’t wait to hug you! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! #bestmomintheworld,” the college student tweeted last week.A source close to the family also revealed that Avery “made it a point” not to see her dad during her visit. “She flew home specifically to see her mom and make sure she’s okay,” said the insider.

As for Ramona, the Real Housewives of New York City star has been honest about her emotions after filing for divorce, but she’s also been trying to remain positive. “This has been the most difficult time in my life,” she tweeted last week. “But when I see so many messages of love & support, it gives me a much needed smile #Thankful.”

The reality star decided to make the split from Mario official after catching him in their Hamptons home with his younger lover, socialite Kasey Dexter. While rumors of Mario’s infidelity had been around for months, a source close to Ramona said that she was waiting to end the marriage until after filming for RHONYC was over because she didn’t want the drama playing out on television.

So what do you think about Avery’s pointed decision NOT to see her dad last weekend? Do you think Mario will be able to repair his relationship with his daughter? Tell us in the comments!
