Cynthia Bailey On Life After The Pillow Talk Blowout

February 13, 2014 02:00 PM by Suzy Kerr

The last episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta may have been the franchise’s most-watched segment yet, but it came at cost for some of the Housewives, including Cynthia Bailey. In a revealing interview after the show, Cynthia dished on life after the pillow talk blowout, summing it up in one word – bittersweet.

NeNe Leakes’ great idea for a sleepover with all the Housewives and their men was supposed to filled with fun and real talk, but instead it turned into the most epic brawl in Housewives history. Now that all the drama has died down, the ladies are opening up about their thoughts in the aftermath of the fight.

Cynthia Bailey chatted with E! News yesterday at the Zang Toi fashion show in NYC, where she confessed that she was glad for the ratings boost the fight earned the show – a record 4.6 million people tuned in – but she wasn’t exactly thrilled with the reason behind it. “Unfortunately, the whole fighting thing is something we don’t normally do. I don’t think that’s why people watch us, but at the same time I guess that’s why so many people tuned in,” she said. “As a part of the cast, I personally don’t celebrate it just in terms of the content. So, yay, we got good ratings–but I don’t really feel good about [how] it happened.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star also dished about what her current status is with co-star KandiBurruss, who she went toe-to-toe with during the fight. “We’re in a good place. [The fight] was a hurdle we had to get over. But at the end of the day, she’s a rational person and I’m very rational and with time we were able to move past it.” She also admitted that while the normally level-headed Kandi’s behavior was somewhat of a surprise, she sort of understood it. “We’re all women, we’re all emotional. We all have a snap button. It is what it is,” she told E!.

So what do you think? Do you believe that Cynthia and Kandi have really repaired their relationship? Tell us in the comments!

I’m sure Kandi & Cynthia are just fine. I wish Cynthia had addressed the whole Peter’s past thing a bit more. I sorta need to know what type of past he has. Also I’m pretty sure Peter spends to much time in ‘da club’ for a man his age! Wasn’t he just tweeting about how the girl was his daughter he was dancing with his daughter in ‘da club?’ But then when you see the pictures the girl is a stripper… … I mean… ?

Only Nene can’t be rational. Once Pheadra has a grudge she does not move past it either. But Cynthia, Kenya, Porcha and Kandi seem like people you can reason with…who can work things out and put forth a good face, even if not totally sincere.
