Apologies from NeNe Leakes are exceedingly rare, so you know something major has happened when the Real Housewives of Atlanta star says she’s sorry! What NeNe-related sin could be so grievous as to elicit an apology?
The Real Housewives of Atlanta seems to have finally moved on from the much-discussed pillow party debacle. Of course, this means that it’s time for a whole new round of drama. This week, it arrived in the form of a disastrous charity event.
Essentially, Kenya Moore decided to get on NeNe Leakes’ good side by auctioning off bachelors and donating the proceeds to a charity of NeNe’s choice. Unfortunately, she didn’t ever receive an invite to the event, although Kenya’s Facebook fans think that NeNe fabricated the missing invitation story. Either way, the reality star was deeply offended by this perceived slight — and she decided to pay Kenya back by giving an incredibly inappropriate speech.
At the time of the episode, NeNe took to Twitter to bash Kenya, claiming, “The cream always raises to the top.” But after reflecting for a few days, NeNe was finally willing to admit that her behavior was unacceptable. She eventually crafted an apology for her Bravo blog, explaining that the last thing she wanted to do was “teach young women that this is the proper way to respond when someone is trying to…push your buttons.”
Of course, with snarky add-ins like this, it’s clear that NeNe’s still not ready to forgive and forget — but then again, neither is Kenya!
Does Kenya Moore deserve a better apology from NeNe Leakes? Or do you agree that she was trying her best to push NeNe’s buttons? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below!
