Khloe Kardashian recently sparked a small controversy when she spray painted “FXCK YO FUR” on the back of her stylish faux fur coat. According to Kris Jenner, this move was simply the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s way of spreading an important message.
Like the rest of her siblings, Khloe Kardashian absolutely adores the world of fashion. But the reality star views style as more than a means of looking cute — she’s all about self-expression. Most recently, this meant stepping out in an outfit that, from the front, looked super trendy…and from the back, offered up a clear message.
Kris Jenner recently chatted about her daughter’s intentions during a candid interview with E! News. The momager admitted, “It’s Khloe’s way of making an anti-fur statement. She really believes in not wearing fur and that’s her way of telling everyone that she’s not gonna wear it. She’s a big faux fur girl.”
She may be in favor of faux fur, but that doesn’t mean Khloe is exclusively acting as the mouthpiece for the controversial group known as PETA. In response to continued queries on Facebook, the reality star was forced to address her wardrobe choice. She took to Twitter to vent, “No I’m NOT with PETA! I stand for kindness. Treat others the way you want to be treated.” She later added that her hope was to encourage faux fur while still respecting differing viewpoints, explaining, “I don’t bully people into sharing the same beliefs as me.
What do you think of Khloe Kardashian’s recent anti-fur campaign? Do you believe that there’s a more effective way for the reality star to spread the word? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
