Duck Dynasty Beard Wars: Who Has The Best Beard?

February 20, 2014 08:00 AM by Anna Sanclement

The guys from Duck Dynasty have certainly made a name for themselves in the reality television world and a big part of that is due to their iconic bushy beards. You can often find fans on both Facebook and Twitter debating hot topics surrounding the family, including their famous beards. So, with that in mind, the question would be which cast member’s beard deserves the prize of Best Beard.

First up, there’s patriarch Phil Robertson’s facial hair, his is a labor of love that’s been in the making for quite some time. In his mature years, Robertson’s beard is mostly gray and reaches down to his chest in length, it also has an awesome bushiness factor.

Next is Willie Robertson. His beard spreads very wide across his face giving him that saintly look. The Duck Commander CEO is still in his younger years so his whiskers are deep brown in color. His length goes to about below his neck, so his hair comes down longer than the beard giving him an Odysseus-like flair.

Jase Robertson’s beard is more streamlined, and much shorter than Phil and Willie’s. It has a wide girth around his jaw, but it is not as impressive as Willie’s since it only comes down to below his chin. It looks like a smaller version of his brother’s Godly beard.

Then comes Si Robertson and his stubble. Si’s whiskers match his personality, they are quirky and very oddly bushy as they sort of float upwards. The funny uncle has short hair so his whitish grey beard really stands out, and looks like a ball of fur.

Looking a lot like his brother Willie, Jep Robertson also has beard that is almost a carbon copy of his. The only difference is that it may be a little more trimmed all around. It is still bushy though, but his hair is straight so it doesn’t look as massive as Willie’s. It is also dark brown in color.

While the Duck Dynasty’s main cast, who are all family, have the best of the best in term of beards, other cast members can rival the Robertson’s with their own beards as well.

One such beard owner is Justin Martin. A close friend of the Robertsons and employee of Duck Commander, Martin has fluffy and wiry beard, it is dark brown in color and closely matches the rest of his hair in texture.

Another recurring cast member is John Godwin. He’s also an employee at Duck Commander and can often be seen at the Robertson’s family home. Godwin has a an interesting beard; it is white, very narrow, and actually looks more like a long goatee that covers his jaw. He has otherwise not much hair, neither on his face nor on his head.

Lastly there is Tim Guraedy, aka Mountain Man, who is a neighbor and the only regular who is not a Duck Commander employee. Mountain Man’s beard is longish, gray and fairly straight, without too much bushiness. His hair is on the longer side and he looks like he could be a distant Robertson family member.

With so many beards in such similar styles, one of these has to be a standout. Which Duck Dynasty star do you think is the best one of the bunch?
