Last night marked the premiere of The Voice season six, and with it, the return of two favorites from season four: Usher and Shakira. Yesterday, the returning judges impressed once again with their wit and valuable critiques. Based on the recent premiere, viewers can expect yet another amazing season!
Facebook fans were overwhelmingly disappointed last fall, when Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera returned to their posts on The Voice. While the original judges had plenty to offer, viewers seemed to prefer the easy camaraderie of Usher, Shakira, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. They’re in luck, however, as the two newbie judges are back for another season!
During yesterday’s premiere of The Voice season six, fans were pleased to see that the show wasn’t about to step aside and let American Idol take over as the reality competition with the best judges. We all love Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. but they just don’t hold a candle to the gang from The Voice!
Usher was certainly psyched to be on board for the new season. The fan favorite took to Twitter to share his excitement, tweeting, “#TeamUsher starting the season right!! 3 vocal powerhouse pickups tonight. We got the leathers ain’t nobody got.” Shakira also made a point of showing followers how happy she was to return to the singing competition — she posted her official Team Shakira photo on Instagram and encouraged fans to tune in to cheer her on.
Are you happy about Usher and Shakira’s return to The Voice? Or is the show better off with Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below!
