If you’re like most of our Twitter followers, then you likely are not feeling any sympathy for Teresa Giudice or her husband Joe, who were charged with over 40 counts of tax fraud and evasion last year. Instead, you’re probably hoping she gets some jail time. Well, while prison gear could still be in the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star’s future, Teresa and Joe have decided to plead guilty on a few of the counts of fraud.
While Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe may have pled not guilty to some of the charges they were slapped with back in 2013 for fraud, the couple is now planning to plead guilty to a few of them. According to US Weekly, they have confirmed that the couple will plead guilty to a few charges, though it’s uncertain exactly how many.
“Teresa and Joe Giudice have arranged a plea agreement with prosecutors in their federal case. The couple will plead guilty to several but not all 41 of the charges, and both will appear in court on Tuesday with their lawyers,” one insider dished to the magazine. And that’s not all – apparently, jail time could still be in their future (is anyone else secretly hoping this proves true?). The sources go on to add that after their plea on Tuesday, there will be a long sentencing process to figure out how the pair will be punished. Probation, fines, and possibly jail time are all still possible.
Back in July 2013, Teresa and Joe were charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank and bankruptcy fraud, as well as lying on loan applications. Now, the question is: Will these two actually get jail time?
