Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe recently pled guilty to several fraud charges, and while it will be some time before the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star gets sentenced, she could face two years in prison. However, the likelihood of that happening is slim, and we already know that she plans to beg the judge for house arrest, but the reality is that she may get off with nothing more than probation.
Like most of our Twitter and Facebook, you probably feel that Teresa Giudice should definitely get some sort of punishment for committing acts of fraud. While she could very well have to do some hard time, we’re not so sure that is going to happen, because Teresa is going to beg for house arrest due to her kids. However, according to a new report by US Weekly, Joe’s attorney thinks that Teresa could get off with probation only.
However, he feels that Joe is definitely in for some jail time, if not something worse. What could be worse than prison for Joe Giudice? “Joe could be deported. I think it would be a tremendous injustice, given that he’s been here since he was 1 year old. His parents and brothers have been naturalized, and Teresa and the children are citizens. Joe not getting U.S. citizenship, just slipped through the cracks. He could have gotten it easily. He thought he was a citizen, as did everyone else,” the attorney went on to explain.
Teresa could face up to two years in prison, while Joe could face four, unless they decide to deport him.
It’s your turn to sound off now! What do you think the appropriate punishment for Teresa and Joe Giudice is? Comment below and share your thoughts with us.
