When Duck Dynasty premiered a few seasons ago, folks weren’t quite sure what to expect out of the bearded clan of rednecks. But now, you can easily confirm by visiting either Twitter or Facebook that the duck hunting, God loving, Robertson family has become one of America’s favorite television families. So, it really is no surprise that when the family chose to do the show, it wasn’t for fame or fortune!

Duck Dynasty has quickly grown to be A&E’s hottest show, and it has to do with the Robertson family and their old school Christian values. And if you’re one of the many fans who tunes in week after week, then you already know that the family has a close relationship with God, and according to Sadie Robertson, that is the reason they decided to do the show. The 16-year-old daughter of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, says the family’s main reason for doing the show was to spread the word of God, and not for fame and fortune.

“We could have easily done a reality show like everyone else… it’s our faith that catches people’s eyes because sadly, it’s not something we’re used to seeing on TV these days,” the young star told Fox News recently. Sadie went on to reveal that at least once a week someone will Tweet her and beg her not to turn into another Miley Cyrus. Luckily, Sadie has no intentions of going down that path (and we’re sure Willie and Korie would not allow it, either). Instead, Robertson went on to explain: “I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith. Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do.”

Kudos to Sadie Robertson for setting such a great example for young girls.

I love the show! And, you’re right, Sadie – it does catch people’s eyes because of the faith factor because, as you said, you just don’t see good shows like this on TV anymore. You are such an inspiration to young girls everywhere! PLEASE STAY WHO YOU ARE and keep promoting God’s Word. You are on the right path, and I think the more popular this show gets, the better! WE NEED POSITIVE, INSPIRING MEDIA in this day and age! GOD BLESS THE ROBERTSONS!

I just recently started watching you show. When you all sit down to pray, it warms my soul. I give GOD credit in all that I have, all that I do, every once of my being. I’m not fanatical, I’m spiritual. I do not thumb the bible on someone’s head, but if they want to know why I smile or have such joy, I say look up! You truly have to be born again of the spirit to understand the Power of GOD and the Power that you have inside of you. I know people who say they know GOD but live a BLAH life. If you know this MAN and know HIM, you should seen in your walk and talk. That light should be shining from within. People should be saying to themselves, what do she or he have? It’s not fame or wealth, it’s the the spirit that inside. I serve a GOD who sits high and looks low. If he brings you to it, he’ll bring you through it. I’m glad to be a fan :) and proud to say, I watch your show.

I can’t think of a better way to reach people of all ages and backgrounds than a fun show that brings us back to our core values, something that has slid to a back burner in this country. Seeing that you can love and serve God and still have a good time is inspiring to our younger people, and uplifting to all of us. There are very few wholesome shows to watch anymore; and even more rare are stars who are not afraid to speak out about matters that concern controversial subjects. Our God teaches love for every man. Please keep doing what you are doing, and we will keep watching! God bless your family.

I consider the Robertson family a pure blessing to us all. We definitely need more Christian role models in this world today. God wants us ALL to be great Christian examples for all the world to see and become. My family and I really appreciate watching good wholesome clean television programs. Duck Dynasty is so inspirational. We don’t miss an episode. May God continue to bless the Robertson family.
