Now there’s a shocker, folks! Last year, Octomom sent the Twitter universe into a rage when she was accused of defrauding the welfare system. Then in January, after a long investigation into the claims, the mom of 14 was charged with 3 felony counts of welfare fraud, and more recently, another charge was added. And just as we suspected, good ole Octo has decided to plead not guilty to the charges!
Surprise, surprise! How did we know that Nadya Suleman would plead not guilty to the welfare fraud charges she was slapped with? Oh, that’s an easy one – because such a high class woman would never admit to milking the welfare system (note the sarcasm, folks). After being slapped with 3 felony counts of welfare fraud back in January, Octo is determined to prove her innocence. Um, yeah. She previously pled not guilty to the 3 charges, but was then given another charge, and now, she is pleading not guilty to that one also. According to ABC news, Octomom agreed to return to court next month for a another hearing, if her case isn’t resolved with a plea deal before that time.
The fourth charge claims that in addition to the welfare money she already received in which she should not have, she collected an additional $10K worth of welfare. With the new charge, Nadya owes the state about $26K, according to officials. “We’re doing discovery, we’re investigating the case and then we’ll be back to talk to the district attorney to see if this can be resolved,” Suleman’s attorney stated outside of the courtroom Tuesday afternoon. The charges originally stem from Octo’s porn endeavors in 2013, which pushed her income well over the limit to receive welfare for her 14 children.
Suleman now faces the possibility of some good jail time, and the majority of our Facebook fans think she deserves it. What do you think? Comment below and share your thoughts with us.
