At this point, it’s hard for Facebook fans to imagine The Real Housewives Of Atlanta without the crazy Kenya Moore. But believe it or not, there was a time when Bravo suffered from the absence of Kenya’s incessant twirling. To show appreciation for the ratings boost that accompanied this former pageant star’s reality TV debut, the network offered Kenya the prize for Rookie of the Year at the illustrious Real Housewives Awards.
Kenya Moore has officially earned the distinction of being the best source of drama among Bravo’s many Real Housewives newbies. She had plenty of competition for the first Real Housewives Awards, with nominees in the Rookie of the Year category including Carlton Gebbia, Joyce Giraud, Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thompson, Lydia McLaughlin, and yes, Porsha Stewart. Although all of these nominees have added interest to the Real Housewives franchise, Kenya Moore is easily the most fascinating — which means her award was definitely deserved!
As if winning Rookie of the Year wasn’t exciting enough, Kenya also snagged the award for Most Memorable Outfit. Although she had stiff competition in the form of Joanna Krupa’s wedding dress and Yolanda Foster’s white pants, Kenya’s Phaedra Parks costume was definitely the most creative and thus, the most memorable of the bunch.
After learning of her multiple wins, Kenya took to Twitter to celebrate. Although she failed to offer up a thank you message for Bravo, she did make a point of retweeting congrats from her biggest fans.
Do you think Kenya Moore deserves the award for Bravo’s Rookie of the Year? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below!
