Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Turn Down Charity Offer To Settle Video Lawsuit

March 24, 2014 04:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Some things will never change! When it comes to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, it’s all about the money. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians┬ástar and the rapper have been battling it out with YouTube founder Chad Hurley over their leaked engagement video, and when Hurley offered a charity donation recently, the couple actually turned it down! What’s that all about?

While Twitter and Facebook seem to be going crazy over the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will be featured in Vogue in April, Kimye has another issue they are dealing with at the moment – their leaked engagement video. Kim and Kanye have been battling it out with YouTube’s founder, Chad Hurley over the leaked tape, and according to our friends at Radar Online, the couple wants a huge cash settlement. Typical.

And what’s more is that they won’t settle for anything less. “Chad wanted to make a donation to a charity just to make it go away. But Kim and Kanye didn’t want the money to go to a charity, they want it to go directly to them,” one inside source dished to the site. If that’s true, that is just completely ridiculous. I mean, don’t these two have enough money? Sick, absolutely, sick.

So, as it stands now, Hurley will face off with West and Kardashian in court later this year. That is, unless they reach a settlement by then, but by the looks of it, Kimye is not giving in. Ugh, just make these two go away already.

Now, it’s your turn to sound off! What do you think of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West turning down Hurley’s settlement offer of making a charity donation? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear from you. Comment below to share your thoughts with us.

Its an insult for anyone to say they will give you a “charity donation” on your behalf then they can get a tax write off on that donation and you can’t. If the guy violated their rights then they should receive their money and if they decide to give it away to a charity of their choice they should have that right. I would be offended and decline it as well. Its like the guys is saying he can make decisions on what they should accept and its offensive.

It really doesn’t matter “how much money Kanye and Kim has as suggested by the writer of this article who is showing bias and ignorance. This is a widely used legal maneuver used from the standpoint of lawyers. The guy who is sued lawyers may have suggested this believing they are stupid enough to accept this “token” money after he REALIZED he may actually lose in court and the judge will find reason to suggest he in some way violated their rights. Also cases such as these can drain a person pockets, so the lawyer is trying to sully Kanye and Kims reputation by attempting to use public opinion to say they are so rich that they didn’t want to take the offer and get the case behind them which in some way makes them appear greedy. If this guy loses then he also has to pay their legal fees. I too wouldn’t accept such a donation because its insensitive and demeaning because it suggests the person has no remorse or feelings for violating peoples right to privacy, so to just say your going to give to say “the red cross”or to “Chicago’s Childrens Lurie hospital”in their honor is extremely arrogant and misguided because its the principle. I suggest the person who wrote this article study what journalistic integrity is. Report the story and not your views because it appears as if your hating on Kim and kanye…lol, They have every right to decline and let a judge decide.
