Just when you think the never-ending divorce of Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy may be drawing to a close, Jason manages to ensure the battle’s continuation. The former husband of The Real Housewives Of New York City’s biggest star is in it for the long haul — and he’s hoping to force Bethenny to pay his legal fees.
Jason Hoppy has never garnered much praise from The Real Housewives Of New York City’s Facebook fans, but he just might have thrown away any final scraps of support that remained. He recently decided to petition the court to force Bethenny Frankel to pay all the legal fees related to the ongoing divorce case, and fans definitely do not approve.
Although records fail to reveal how much Bethenny’s ex owes, a report from Page Six indicates that he could be paying his attorney as much as $900 an hour, a figure that shocked the Twitter world. But it makes sense that Jason is paying the big bucks, as he;s currently being represented by Bernard Clair, the divorce lawyer best known for helping Lauren Silverman (Simon Cowell’s baby mama) to end her marriage with Andrew Silverman.
In spite of all the divorce drama, Bethenny says that she’s finally feeling “a little liberation.” During a recent interview with Andy Cohen, the reality star revealed, “I am dating and I am happy,” adding that it’s been a relief to enjoy “ just a little bit of not feeling so bad.” That being said, Bethenny admits that her divorce from Jason Hoppy still leaves her feeling incredibly stressed. “I have not totally come out on the other side.”
Do you think Jason Hoppy will prove successful in his efforts to force Bethenny Frankel to pay his legal fees? Leave a comment and let us know!
