We have a confession, folks! At least one of the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, err, husbands that is, is ready to take the blame for something, unlike Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore. Back in January, Phaedra Parks’ husband Apollo Nida was charged with fraud and identity theft, and now, he is ready to face the consequences as Nida has pled guilty to the charges.
Facebook fans were shocked back in January to learn that Apollo Nida was charged with identity theft and fraud – okay, most were not shocked as it’s not his first time being in legal trouble, but fans were left wondering what Nida would do next, or if he would admit to the crime. Well, according to a new report by Radar Online, Nida has pled guilty.
In the charges against him, prosecutors claim that Apollo created bogus companies, which enabled him to access databases in which helped him find people to steal from. Nida then opened phony bank accounts using the real names he had stolen and funneled stolen U.S. Treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into the phony accounts. Prior speculation on Twitter was that Nida would enter a plea deal after his lawyers waived his indictment.
As he left the courthouse yesterday, Radar caught up with Nida to find out how he was holding up. “I just left the courthouse, and I’m alive. I’m cool. I feel good about the support I’m getting. All the support’s been needed. It’s an uphill battle, but we’re still staying positive,” Nida told the site.
What do you think of Apollo Nida pleading guilty to fraud and identity theft? Are you surprised or did you see it coming? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
