Last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars ended with a bit of a shocker, as the very talented Charlie White was eliminated right before the finale. Typically a good-natured guy, Charlie was bothered by the approach to his elimination — he even referred to it as contrived!
Facebook fans can breathe a sigh of relief; although Charlie White is very disappointed to be finished with Dancing With The Stars, his elimination will in no way impact his relationship with skating partner Meryl Davis. Instead, the Olympian will simply continue to support Meryl and Maks in their bid for the mirror ball trophy.
Charlie may not be angry with Meryl for making it further than he did in the competition, but he is incredibly annoyed by last night’s elimination process. After he learned he would be sent home, the contestant told E! News, “Honestly to me, that felt contrived. I wasn’t happy that they pitted me against Meryl like that.”
In spite of the unfortunate nature of his elimination, Charlie promises that his relationship with Meryl will remain strong. “I think our love triumphs over what makes for an interesting moment.” Meryl Davis echoed this sentiment on Twitter, also thanking Charlie and Sharna for exhibiting “Class, work ethic & positivity surrounding you two all season long.”
What did you think of Charlie White and Sharna Burgess’ elimination on Dancing With The Stars? Did their placement in the bottom two alongside Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy feel contrived? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
