Having already achieved success in the duck call business and on reality television, the Robertson family is now taking over the music biz. Last year, the Duck Dynasty clan released a Christmas album, but that wasn’t enough for Uncle Si — he’s decided to go solo!
Last year, Facebook fans went crazy for the Duck Dynasty holiday album Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas. Uncle Si participated in the project, and, afterwards, decided that he’d like to try recording a solo EP.
The popular Duck Dynasty star garnered the majority of the inspiration for his songs from his very wacky but always entertaining daily life. This is particularly obvious when you consider the names of hid singles, which include Me And My Smoking Hot Honey (a song about his wife) and Can’t Take The Swamp Outta The Man.
Si was also inspired by Kix Brooks, a member of Brooks & Dunn and one of Christine’s favorite musicians. Kix and Si collaborated on Can’t Take The Swamp Outta The Man, which he says he debuted at the couple’s vow renewal ceremony. Talk about a unique gift!
This EP only marks the beginning for Uncle Si, who intends to continue producing music in the future. He told Fox News, “I’m gonna make this my new career choice. I had a blast!”
The Twitter community is already raving about Me And My Smoking Hot Honey, which was released on iTunes earlier this week. Based on the positive reception, it looks like Uncle Si holds great potential for a very successful music career!
We’ve posted a sneak preview of Can’t Take The Swamp Outta The Man below. Check it out and, when you’re finished, stop by the comments section to tell us what you think!’
