Despite the controversy on Twitter or Facebook earlier this year surrounding Phil Robertson, the patriarch on Duck Dynasty, the Robertson clan is still one of America’s favorite families. And if you’ve been missing watching the bearded rednecks every week, you’re in luck because the new season of the show is set to kick off next month!
That’s right, folks! Our favorite bearded clan will be back on our television screens in just a few weeks. Premiering June 11 at 10 pm, this season’s highlights of Duck Dynasty are said to include: “Family patriarch Phil Robertson increasingly entangled in his never-ending battle with the beavers on his land. Willie, meanwhile, tries to keep everything afloat while managing brother Jase’s deadpan humor alongside Uncle Si’s backwoods philosophies. Outside of the family business, Miss Kay decides she has time to take up coupon-cutting while the whole family gathers around to cheer on Reed as he graduates from high school.”
And while last season ended with some special moments as the family gathered around Mia as she underwent another surgery, this season will have its share of special events as well. In fact, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will make an appearance on the season premiere to award Willie Robertson with the first ever Governor’s Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Jindal explained that he will be presenting the award to Robertson because of: “the the tremendous impact of Duck Commander.”
We don’t know about you, but we’ve certainly been missing the Robertson clan and can’t wait for the new season!
