Last night, the Facebook and Twitter world were outraged to find out that Tony Vlachos had outplayed everyone and walked away as the winner of Survivor: Cagayan. But despite being bombarded by haters, the newest Survivor winner revealed that he has absolutely no regrets about how he played the game this season!
He may have been the villain this season on Survivor, as well as one of the most hated players among viewers, but Tony Vlachos did not sign up for the show to make friends. Instead, the loudmouth police officer from New Jersey wound up outlasting, outplaying, and outwitting everyone else for the million dollar prize and title of sole survivor. And Tony would not have changed a thing! “I don’t have any regrets,” Tony dished to Today after the finale last night.
Did you miss the show last night? Check out our finale recap for details on how it all went down!
Tony spent the season lying to other players, even up until the final four tribal council, he was still playing everyone with an idol that he knew darn well he could not use. But the biggest kicker that seemed to upset many folks was how he would swear on his wife and child that he was being truthful, when in fact, he was not. Tony doesn’t regret that either, though. “Swearing on everybody I love…my heart was in the right place at the time but my brain wasn’t. I did everything I had to do to get to the end, and I was only playing to win. Mission accomplished,” Vlachos concluded.
Yes, that he sure did! What did you think of the finale? Did Tony play the best game and deserve to win? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear from you! Comment below and share your thoughts!
