Teresa Giudice already has a lot on her plate, what with the stress of her upcoming sentencing and, of course, the usual drama surrounding The Real Housewives Of New Jersey. The reality star was recently dealt another blow, when Joe Giudice’s father passed away. Several of Teresa’s friends and acquaintances attended the funeral, but a few were noticeably absent.
Joe and Teresa Giudice expected to spend this summer dealing with the fallout from their fraud charges, but they certainly did not anticipate the death of Juicy Joe’s father. Frank Giudice passed away a week ago while spending time with his beloved son. His funeral took place a few days later, and if Teresa was hoping to lean on her friends during this difficult time, she came away from the service sorely disappointed.
Dina Manzo made an appearance at the funeral, and, according to a source for Perez Hilton, so did Real Housewives Of New Jersey newbies Teresa Aprea and Nicole Mauriello. But these ladies didn’t spend a ton of time at the service; they simply paid their respects and left. Perez Hilton’s insider explained, “[Dina Manzo] showed up after 5 p.m….the twin sisters came with their husbands and left right away.”
Former Real Housewives stars Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo failed to show up at the funeral, although, as Teresa’s Facebook fans noted, this was not a huge surprise. Caroline confessed earlier this year that, while she held no ill will towards Teresa, the two certainly were not friends.
In spite of the numerous absences at Frank Giudice’s funeral, Teresa appeared to be comforted by the service. On Twitter, she referred to the funeral as “A beautiful farewell to an amazing father-in-law.”
