Kim Kardashian Defends Her Pregnant Women Comments

July 14, 2014 02:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Last week, Facebook and Twitter fans were shocked when Kim Kardashian gave one of the most ridiculous interviews ever, claiming that pregnant women should stay in hiding. But some of us were left wondering if she actually joking or not. Well, Kardashian took to social media to clear the air about what she said.

Last week, Kim Kardashian and her sisters did an interview with Elle Magazine, in which the sisters were asked for maternity fashion advice. And when it Kim’s turn to answer, she advised pregnant women to just stay in the house, or cover up completely with a blanket, leaving many fans in an uproar over the comments. After realizing that some folks were upset by her comments, Kardashian took to social media to clear things up, and in fact, it turns out that she was only joking!

“I guess you can’t be sarcastic when doing interviews,” Kardashian exclaimed on Twitter this morning, adding: “I was asked about tips on pregnancy style. I jokingly said pregnant woman should hide/stay in if they looked like I did lol. I said ask Kourt her tips bc she has the best preg style.” Whew, that is a relief to know that she was kidding. Of course, while Kardashian herself was pregnant, she was often criticized for her fashion choices and her weight gain, so it’s nice that she can look back now and laugh about it all.

It’s your turn to sound off! What do you think of Kim Kardashian’s comments? Should she have given real advice for all her pregnant fans instead of being sarcastic? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
