True Tori is definitely more dramatic than past reality shows starring Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, but apparently, that’s not good enough for Ian Ziering. Tori’s former costar referred to the show as a “trainwreck,” an accusation that, according to Jennie Garth, was incredibly offensive.
Given the very personal nature of True Tori, actress turned reality star Tori Spelling isn’t particularly eager to see viewers hate on her show. Unfortunately, the response to True Tori has been, at times, intensely negative, with members of the Twitter community referring to it as completely fake.
In addition to the predictable social media insults, True Tori has also received criticism from a very public figure: former 90210 star Ian Ziering. When asked about Tori’s reality show, Ian admitted, “I don’t know what to make of [the series]…it’s a trainwreck!”
She’s used to dealing with criticism on Facebook, but Tori wasn’t prepared for such a negative response from a supposed friend. In a recent interview with Huffpost Live, the always loyal Jennie Garth explained, “I know that that really hurt Tori…it was a little harsh.”
Jennie added that, although Ian and Tori still enjoyed “the bond that we all share,” she didn’t think that the actor realized how hurtful his words could be. Later, Jennie admitted to feeling uncomfortable while watching True Tori — but she insisted that she’d never go so far as to label her BFF a trainwreck.
Do you agree with Ian Ziering? Is True Tori the ultimate trainwreck reality show? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
